Tail

Using gray yarn:

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc in each stitch (12)
  3. Rnd 3: 12 sc
    Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Muzzle

Using white yarn:

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc in each stitch (12)
  3. Rnd 3: (3 inc, 3 sc) x 2 (18)
  4. Rnd 4: 18 sc
    Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Head

Using gray yarn:

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc in each stitch (12)
  3. Rnd 3-8: Continue increasing by 6 stitches per round until you reach 48 stitches.
  4. Rnd 9-16: 48 sc (8 rounds)

Insert safety eyes between Rounds 12 and 13. Cut white felt into small circles and place behind the eyes.

  1. Rnd 17-23: Begin decreasing as follows:
  • Rnd 17: (6 sc, dec) x 6 (42)
  • Rnd 18: (5 sc, dec) x 6 (36)
  • Continue decreasing until 6 stitches remain.

Stuff the head as you go. Fasten off.


Legs (Make 2)

Using gray yarn:

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc in each stitch (12)
  3. Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
  4. Rnd 4-7: Continue shaping as per pattern.

Do not cut the yarn after the second leg; proceed to join the legs and start the body.


Body

Using gray and dress/sweater colors:

  1. Join legs with a chain of 5. Continue crocheting in rounds, following the pattern to shape the body.

Switch to gray yarn for the neckline and finish off.


Skirt (Optional for Girls)

Attach yarn to Round 5 of the body:

  1. Work FLO 3 dc in each stitch around (60). Fasten off.

Bow Tie

  1. Chain 6. Work 5 sc across for 8 rows.
  2. Wrap the middle with yarn and sew to the head or neck.

Assembly

  1. Attach arms between Rounds 16 and 17 of the body.
  2. Sew the head to the body.
  3. Attach ears to the head.
  4. Sew the tail to the back of the body.
  5. Embroider details (eyebrows, eyelashes, and nose) using embroidery thread.
