Materials
- Yarn: YarnArt Jeans (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 160 m / 50 g)
- Hook Size: 1.75 mm
- 6 mm Safety Eyes
- White Felt (for eye backing)
- Black Embroidery Thread (for eyebrows and eyelashes)
- Pink/Brown Embroidery Thread (for the nose)
- Sewing Needle and Scissors
- Fiberfill
Abbreviations
- sc (ms): Single crochet
- sl st (mc): Slip stitch
- ch (ml): Chain
- MR: Magic ring
- inc (augm): Increase
- dec (dim): Decrease
- FLO: Front loops only
- BLO: Back loops only
- dc (br): Double crochet
- hdc (dB): Half double crochet
- tr (d-br): Treble crochet
- sc3tog (3msm): Single crochet 3 together
- F.o.: Fasten off
Pattern Instructions
Arms (Make 2)
Using gray yarn:
- Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- Rnd 2: (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)
- Rnd 3: 9 sc
- Rnd 4: dec, 7 sc (8)
For a boy: Change to sweater color.
For a girl: Continue with gray yarn.
- Rnd 5-12: 8 sc (8 rounds)
For a girl: Change to dress color.
For a boy: Continue with sweater color.
- Rnd 13-15: 8 sc (3 rounds)
Stuff the lower arm lightly. Fold the top flat and sc through both layers (4 sc). Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Ears (Make 2)
Using gray yarn:
- Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- Rnd 2: inc in each stitch (12)
- Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
- Rnd 4-8: 18 sc (5 rounds)
- Rnd 9: (7 sc, dec) x 2 (16)
- Rnd 10-17: Continue decreasing every 2 rounds as follows:
- Rnd 10: 16 sc
- Rnd 11: (6 sc, dec) x 2 (14)
- Rnd 13: (5 sc, dec) x 2 (12)
- Rnd 15: (4 sc, dec) x 2 (10)
Fold the top flat and sc through both layers (5 sc). Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
