Malyutka Mouse Crochet Tutorial

Ears (2 pink pieces and 2 white pieces)

  1. Round 1: 6 sc in KA
  2. Round 2: 6 inc (12)
  3. Round 3: (1 sc, inc) *6 (18)
    Finish:
Fasten off with a sl st and hide the ends on the wrong side of the ear. Cut off the excess yarn.

To assemble the ears:

  • Place a pink piece and a white piece back-to-back (wrong sides together).
  • Using white yarn, crochet around both pieces: (2 sc, inc) *5, joining the pink and white pieces together in the same stitch (sl st at the end).
  • Leave a yarn tail for attachment!

Attaching the Legs

Mark the following with pins:

  • The first pin between the 22nd and 23rd rows.
  • The second pin between the 27th and 28th rows.

From the upper pin, measure 8 stitches in both directions and place pins. From the lower pin, measure 4 stitches in both directions. The upper pins indicate the toes, and the lower pins indicate the heels of the legs.

  1. Attach the legs symmetrically as shown in the photo, sewing them to the body. Ensure the legs are pressed tightly against the body as you sew along the perimeter.

Attaching the Arms

Mark the entry/exit points for the needle between the 3rd and 4th rows at the transition between the head and the body, just above the foot tops.

  1. Insert the needle from the left side of the body and pull it out through the right side, marking the points.
  2. Pull the thread tightly, leaving a tail on the left side for tying.
  3. Sew the arms under the last row, catching two stitches at once.
  4. Repeat the process for secure attachment, ensuring the arms are firmly attached to the body.
