Giraffe Mara Amigurumi Pattern

This is a lovely giraffe named Mara, made with plush yarn from Maresya Handmade. You can use yellow and brown colored yarn from Himalaya Dolphin Baby, along with a 5mm crochet hook. The finished giraffe will be about 30 cm tall when using these materials.

Materials:

  • Plush yarn in any two colors (the author used Himalaya Dolphin Baby 302 and 317)
  • Crochet hook size 4mm, 4.5mm, or 5mm (the author used size 5mm)
  • Needle for stitching the pieces together
  • Plastic safety eyes

How to Crochet the Giraffe

Legs (2 pieces)

Start by crocheting the legs using brown yarn.

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
  2. Rnd 2: 6 increases (12)
  3. Rnd 3: 12 sc (work in the back loop only) (12)
  4. Rnd 4–7: 12 sc in each round (4 rounds)
    Stuff the legs a little bit with fiberfill as you go.

When the second leg is completed, do not cut the yarn and continue crocheting the body:
