Snout:
Crochet a chain of 6 ch:
- Round 1: From the second ch, 4 sc, 3 sc in 1 st, continue crocheting on the other side, 3 sc, inc (12)
- Round 2: 12 sc
Cut the yarn and secure it. Trim the snout neatly with manicure scissors.
Ears (2 parts):
Crochet using one strand of “Kuzya Klubochkin” yarn:
- Round 1: 6 sc in KA, 1 ch, turn work
- Round 2: 6 sc
Cut the yarn, secure it, and leave the tails to hide later inside the head.
Trim the ears neatly.
Assembling the Head:
Using a sewing pin, attach the snout to the head. The position of the snout can be adjusted to your liking. I prefer placing it at the very bottom of the head. Sew the snout in a circular motion, adding a bit of stuffing towards the end.
For the nose, use brown yarn and embroidery needle to stitch a small nose. Attach safety eyes (or beads) to the head. Position the eyes and secure them by sewing.
Upper Legs (2 parts):
- Round 1: 6 sc in KA
- Round 2: (inc, 2 sc) x 2 times (8)
- Rounds 3–9: 8 sc (7 rounds)
Stuff the legs lightly. Attach the pin joint for the legs using a 6 mm disc and an 18 mm T-pin.
After attaching, close the opening and trim the legs.
Repeat for the second leg.
Lower Legs (2 parts):
Crochet a chain of 4 ch:
- Round 1: From the second ch, 2 sc, 3 sc in 1 st, continue on the other side with 1 sc, inc (8)
- Round 2: inc, 1 sc, 3 inc, 1 sc, 2 inc (14)
- Round 3: 14 sc
- Round 4: 3 sc, 4 dec, 3 sc (10)
- Round 5: 3 sc, 2 dec, 3 sc (8)
- Rounds 6–9: 8 sc (4 rounds)
Stuff the legs, attach the pin joint, and sew them securely.
Repeat for the second lower leg, positioning the pin joint on the opposite side.
Body:
- Round 1: 6 sc in KA
- Round 2: 6 inc (12)
- Round 3: 12 sc
- Round 4: (1 sc, inc) x 6 times (18)
- Round 5: 18 sc
Attach the head to the body using the 9 mm disc and round-nose pliers. Secure the head tightly.
Continue crocheting:
- Round 6: 18 sc
- Round 7: (2 sc, inc) x 6 times (24)
- Round 8: (3 sc, inc) x 6 times (30)
Attach the upper legs between rounds 4 and 5 of the body using 9 mm discs.
9-12. Rounds 9-12: 30 sc (4 rounds)
Tail:
- Round 1: 6 sc in KA
Tie off the yarn and leave a tail for sewing. Attach the tail at the back of the body, securing it with matching yarn.
Hat & Scarf:
Hat:
- Using red yarn, start with 6 sc in KA.
- Continue following the pattern, increasing as necessary until the hat fits the bear’s head.
Pom-pom:
- Wind white yarn around two fingers, tie it tightly in the middle, and trim the ends to make a pom-pom. Attach the pom-pom to the top of the hat.
Scarf:
- Using white yarn, crochet 6 sc in a KA.
- Change to red yarn after a few rounds and continue until you reach your desired length (around 11 cm).
- Finish the scarf with a few rounds of white yarn.
Enjoy your new mini bear with its cozy scarf and hat!
