  6. (4 sc, increase) x 6 (36).
    7-10. Crochet 36 sc for 4 rows.
  7. (4 sc, decrease) x 6 (30).
  8. (3 sc, decrease) x 6 (24).
  9. (2 sc, decrease) x 6 (18).
  10. (1 sc, decrease) x 6 (12).

If using a pin joint, attach the pin and disc at this stage.

  1. 6 decreases.

Body

  1. 6 sc in the magic ring.
  2. 6 increases (12).
  3. (1 sc, increase) x 6 (18).
  4. (2 sc, increase) x 6 (24).
    5-7. Crochet 24 sc for 3 rows.

If using a pin joint, place the disc and secure the pin at this stage.

  1. (3 sc, increase) x 6 (30).
  2. 10 sc, (2 sc, increase) x 3, 11 sc (33).
    10-12. Crochet 33 sc for 3 rows.
  3. 10 sc, (2 sc, decrease) x 3, 11 sc (30).
  4. (3 sc, decrease) x 6 (24).
  5. (2 sc, decrease) x 6 (18).
  6. (1 sc, decrease) x 6 (12).
  7. 6 decreases.

Upper Legs

  1. 6 sc in the magic ring.
    2-11. Crochet 6 sc for 10 rows.

Pull the yarn to tighten. Leave a long tail on one leg for the thread joint.


Face (Muzzle)

Using white yarn and a 1mm crochet hook, start with 7 ch:

  1. (1 sc, increase, 4 sc, 3 sc in 1 stitch, 5 sc) (15).
  2. (increase, 1 sc) x 4, 6 sc, slip stitch.

Ears

  1. 4 sc in the magic ring.
  2. (1 sc, increase) x 2 (6).
  3. (1 sc, increase) x 3 (9).
  4. Crochet 12 sc.
  5. (2 sc, increase) x 2 (12).
  6. Crochet 12 sc.
  7. (5 sc, increase) x 2 (14).
    8-11. Crochet 14 sc for 4 rows.
  8. (5 sc, decrease) x 2 (12).
  9. (2 sc, decrease) x 3 (9).

Leave a long tail for attaching the ears to the head.


Assembling the Toy

  • Use the thread joint to attach the lower legs between rows 5 and 6 (count from the bottom).
  • Attach the upper legs using the thread joint between rows 13 and 14 (count from the bottom).
  • Attach the muzzle between rows 8 and 11 (count from the top). Use slip stitches. The nose should be in the right lower corner.
  • Embroider the nose and eyebrows.
  • Attach the 4mm eyes on either side of the muzzle, 5-6 sc apart.
  • Create eyelids by stitching the necessary stitch for the eyelid and wrapping it in a spiral pattern.
  • Slightly curl the ears and sew them to the head near the magic ring on each side.
  • If not using a pin joint, simply sew the head to the body with the thread joint, or attach directly.
