Free Master Class Teddy Bear in a Onesie

Free Master Class: Teddy Bear in a Onesie by @hυonghoang

In this master class, you will learn how to crochet a teddy bear in pants using both a crochet hook and knitting needles. The author provides two patterns for the pants: one knitted and one crocheted. For this amigurumi, any half-cotton yarn is suitable, such as YarnArt Jeans, Alize Cotton Gold, Gazzal Baby Cotton, and others. All the teddy bear’s parts are crocheted in a spiral.

The master class also includes a pattern for knitting a scarf for the toy.

Cut the yarn, tighten the remaining 6 sts, and hide the tail. Insert safety eyes between rows 9 and 10, 17 sc apart. Embroider the nose and eyebrows with stitches (or as desired).

Legs (2 parts)

Start crocheting with black yarn. At the end of each row (from 1 to 8), finish with a slip stitch, and start the next row with a chain stitch.

  1. 6 sc in KA, ss (6)
  2. ch, 6 inc, ss (12)
    3-8: (6 rows) ch, 12 sc, ss (12)

At the end of row 8, change yarn to the color of the body. Continue crocheting in the round without ss or ch.

  1. BLO, 12 sc (12)
    10-27: (18 rows) 12 sc (12)

Cut the yarn, secure it, and stuff the leg. Repeat the same for the second leg, but do not cut the yarn at the end. Instead, connect both legs: from the last st of the second leg, chain 6 and join with the first leg using a slip stitch.
