Muzzle (Bear)

  1. Round 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
  2. Round 2: inc x 6 (12)
  3. Round 3: 1 sc, inc x 3, 3 sc, inc x 3, 2 sc (18)
  4. Round 4: 3 sc, inc x 3, 6 sc, inc x 3, 3 sc (24)
  5. Round 5: 5 sc, inc, 1 sc, inc, 9 sc, inc, 1 sc, inc, 4 sc (28)
    6–7. Rounds: (28)

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.


Muzzle (Bunny)

Follow the same steps as for the bear’s muzzle, but in white yarn.


Ears (Bear)

  1. Round 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
  2. Round 2: inc x 6 (12)
    Fasten off the first piece.

For the second piece: crochet the same way, but don’t cut the yarn. Attach the first piece and continue working sc around both pieces to connect them into a round shape.


Ears (Bunny)

  1. Round 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
  2. Round 2: (2 sc, inc) x 2 (8)
  3. Round 3: (1 sc, inc) x 4 (12)
  4. Round 4: (3 sc, inc) x 3 (15)
  5. Round 5: (15)

Fold in half and crochet 6 sc through both sides to close. Leave a tail for sewing.


Assembly

  • Stuff and sew the head to the body.
  • Attach the arms, ears, and tail.
  • Sew on the muzzle and embroider the nose.
  • Embroider details around the eyes, such as whites and brows.

Hat Instructions

  1. Chain 35. Work sc in each chain across.
    2–14. Rows: sc across (34).
  2. Row: sc 17, ch 6 (skip 6 sts), sc 11 (34).

Continue for a total of 60 rows. Stitch together, gather the top, and add a pompom.
