- 36 inc (72)
3-5. 72 sc
Add a single sc. Ch 3, skip 1 sc, insert the hook into the second sc to form an arch. Continue this way until the end of the round. Crochet another round like this. Then, crochet around the edge with 3 sc in each arch.
Mane
Ch 16, place a marker in the 16th ch. Continue ch 30 more. Starting from the second ch from the hook, crochet 3 sc in each ch until you reach the marker. Slip stitch into the marked ch, remove the marker. Ch 30, crochet 3 sc in each ch until the end of the 16 ch.
Tail
The tail is crocheted similarly. Instead of 16 ch, ch 5. Instead of 30 ch, ch 20. If you find it inconvenient, you can crochet each spiral separately. For a longer mane, increase the number of ch.
