Leave a long tail for sewing. Insert the yarn into the needle and sew the body, stuffing as you go.
Skirt
To crochet the skirt on the body, join the yarn in the remaining half loops of round 20 and start working in a spiral.
For each half-loop of rounds 20 and 22, crochet 2 dc. In each half-loop of round 24, crochet 2 patent double crochets with 1 yarn over.
Tentacles
Join the yarn to the remaining half loops of round 28 and start crocheting the tentacles.
- Chain 45, then starting from the 2nd chain from the hook, crochet 2 dc in each chain.
- In the next half-loop, crochet 1 sc, and in the next half-loop, start chaining again—repeat this 15 times.
- In total, 15 spirals should form.
Toy Decoration
- Attach a bow or flowers as desired to decorate the jellyfish.
- Embroider the mouth and eyes according to your preference, using black or any color you like.
Flowers (3 parts)
- Round 1: 8 sc in a magic ring (8)
- Round 2: (5 dc, sc) x 4, sl st to join.
You’ll have 4 petals. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing the flower to the jellyfish.
Bow
Make a magic ring and crochet (5 ch, 7 dc4, 5 ch, sc) x 2, then join with sl st. Tighten the magic ring.
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail to wrap around the bow several times and sew it to the jellyfish’s head.
Now your jellyfish is complete! Enjoy your handmade toy!
