Beak, Head, Body
Start by crocheting the beak with orange yarn (stuff as you go along):
- 6 sc in KA (6)
2–3. 6 sc (6) – switch to body color - 6 inc (12)
- 2 sc, (1 sc, inc) x 4 times, 2 sc (16)
6–7. 16 sc
- Insert the eyes between rounds 5 and 6. Place one eye after the 1st increase from the previous round and the second eye after the 3rd increase of the previous round.
- (1 sc, dec) x 5 times, 1 sc (11)
- Move the marker slightly to the side.
- 3 sc, 3 dec, 2 sc (8) – the decreases should be placed at the top center.
10–11. 8 sc - 8 inc
- (1 sc, inc) x 8 times (24)
- 9 sc, 2 inc, 10 sc, 2 inc, 1 sc (28)
15–18. 28 sc - 10 sc, 3 dec, 6 sc, 3 dec (22) – the decreases should be placed at the sides.
- 22 sc
- 9 sc, 2 dec, 5 sc, 2 dec (18) – the decreases should be at the sides.
22–23. 18 sc - (1 sc, dec) x 6 times (12)
Now crochet the tail:
- 4 dec, ch, continue crocheting, capturing both sides (2 dc in one stitch, ss in the next) x 3 times.
Cut the yarn approximately 10 cm and secure it. For a more secure finish, thread the yarn through a needle, pass it through the base of the tail, and bring it out at the belly of the goose. Tie a knot and hide the yarn.
Wings (No stuffing)
- 6 sc in KA
- 6 sc
- (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)
- 5 inc, 4 sc (14)
5–6. 14 sc - (1 sc, dec) x 4, 2 sc (10)
When folding the wing, it should look as in the picture (one side more curved than the other).
Sew the wings on so that the more curved side faces the back.
Feet
Turn the goose onto its back, count 6 rows from the tail, and with the crochet hook, grab the orange yarn through the 6th row. Chain 8 sts, then continue down the chain, making 2 dc in the 3rd ch from the hook and 4 ss down the chain. Cut the yarn and insert it through the base of the chain, bringing it out two rows above, grab the foot, and sew it in place. Tie a knot and hide the yarn.
