Assembly

  1. Eyes: Place safety eyes (8mm for small owl, 12mm for large owl) inside the knitted eyes, keeping them towards the inner corners, opposite the outer ends.
  2. Sew the cheeks on the sides of the knitted eyes.
  3. For the body, place it with the final stitch to the right. Mark where to insert the eyes: between rows 8 and 9 (counting from the top), leaving a gap of 6 sc between them. Place the safety eyes and secure them inside the body.
  4. Sew the knitted eyes onto the body.
  5. Attach the beak between the eyes, between rows 8 and 10 of the body, counting from the top.
  6. Attach the wings on each side of the body, between rows 12 and 18 (counting from the top). Sew only the top half of the wings to allow movement.
  7. Embroider Vs on the body using two strands of 8/4 yarn. Create 3 Vs between rows 18 and 19 and 2 more between rows 21 and 22.
  8. Attach the legs at the base of the body, positioning them in a semicircle between rows 1 and 4.
  9. Finish by sewing the top part of the body/head, ensuring all thread ends are tucked inside.
