    5-16. Sc in each sc to the end (6)
  3. Sc in each sc to the last two sc, dec over the last two sc (5)

  • Repeat rows 17 and 18 until 2 sc remain. Dec over two sc (1). Close the last loop and hide the ends of the threads (the beveled side of the wing should be directed towards the back when sewing the toy).

Paws (4 parts)

  1. 6 sc in KA (6 loops)
  2. 2 sc in each sc in a circle (12)
  3. (ch 6, sl in the second loop from the hook, sc in the next ch, pss in the next ch, dc in the next ch, ss2n in the last ch. Skip 1 sbn, ss in the next sbn). Repeat from 2 times (you get 3 fingers). Close the last loop and hide the ends of the threads.
  • Take two paws and put them together, matching fingers. Over the outer edges, sew them with a seam over the edge, using a needle and a suitable thread. Tie the thread and hide the ends.

Legs (2 parts)

  • Start with orange/yellow yarn.
  1. 6 ch close into a ring. 1 ch and sb in a circle, change to white yarn in the last sb, close in the first sb of the circular row.
  2. Ch 1, sb in the same loop in which the row was closed. (2 sc in the next sc, sc in the next sc). Repeat in a circle to the beginning, close in the first sc with the help of sl-st.
  3. 1 ch, sc in the same loop in which the row was closed. (2 sc in the next sc, sc in the next sc). Repeat in a circle. Close the last loop and hide the ends of the threads.
  • When knitting the leg, you may have an “extra” loop in the circular row. This is normal, just work sc into it and close to start the next row.
  • Sew the paw to the leg as shown in the picture (the orange part of the leg is connected to the paw).

Assembling the Toy

  • The white tummy fits snugly against the lower abdomen and stretches towards the head.
  • The beak is lightly stuffed and shaped.
  • Paws are sewn at the bottom.
  • Glue or sew eyes.
  • The wings are placed on the sides of the toy.
  • The hair is small pieces of black buckle about 13 cm long. Crochet these pieces in one line on the head. Cut to desired length.
