Amigurumi Panda Puffy Free Crochet Pattern

Ears

Start with black color yarn. Make 2 ears.

  • Row 1: INTO MAGIC RING 6 sc
  • Row 2: Increase 1 per loop, total 12 loops
  • Row 3: (2 sc, 1 INC), total 16 loops
  • Row 4: 1 sc in each loop, total 16 loops

Eyes

Start with black color yarn. Make 2 eyes.

  • Row 1: INTO MAGIC RING 6 sc
  • Row 2: Increase 1 per loop, total 12 loops
  • Row 3: (2 sc, 1 INC), total 16 loops

Place the 12 mm eyes in the middle of the eye and sew them on. You can also use stitched eyes.


Assembly

  • Sew the ears symmetrically on both sides of the head, between the 7th and 13th rows.
  • Sew the eyes between the 12th and 17th rows, with an average of 6 loops between the two eyes.
  • For the nose, create a 4-loop-wide black horizontal line in the middle of the eyes. Make a black thread from the beginning to the end, in the loop below the horizontal line, exactly in the middle of the head. Fill it and add a row just one loop down the middle to complete the nose.
  • Embroider the body with the colors you used for the pompom.

Arms

Start with blue yarn. Make 2 arms.

  • Row 1: INTO MAGIC RING 6 sc
  • Row 2: 6 sc, total 12 loops
  • Row 3-10: 1 sc in each loop, total 12 loops, then switch to black yarn
  • Row 11: (1 INC, 3 sc), total 15 loops
  • Row 12: (1 INC, 4 sc), total 18 loops
  • Row 13: (1 INC, 5 sc), total 21 loops
  • Row 14: 1 sc in each loop, total 21 loops
  • Row 15: (1 DEC, 1 sc), total 14 loops
  • Row 16: (1 DEC), total 7 loops
  • Row 17: (1 DEC), total 4 loops, finish and fasten off.

Sew the arms to the body.


Legs

Start with blue yarn. Make 2 legs.

  • Row 1: INTO MAGIC RING 6 sc
  • Row 2: 6 sc, total 12 loops
  • Row 3: (1 INC, 1 sc), total 18 loops
  • Row 4-12: 1 sc in each loop, total 18 loops, then switch to black yarn
  • Row 13: (1 INC, 1 sc), total 27 loops
  • Row 14-17: 1 sc in each loop, total 27 loops
  • Row 18: (1 DEC, 1 sc), total 18 loops
  • Row 19: (1 DEC, 1 sc), total 12 loops
  • Row 20: (1 DEC), total 6 loops, finish and fasten off.

Do not stuff the blue part of the legs too tightly.


Pompom Band

Make 3 large pompoms. Use your middle and ring fingers together to make the pompoms.
Make a ribbon to attach the pompoms.

  • Row 1: 18 ch, turn, and make 1 DC.
    Attach the pompoms to the ribbon and place them perpendicular to the head, so the light falls in front of the head.
