- Place a marker at the center of the back and continue crocheting the body.

Finishing Touches
- Tail: You can crochet and sew the tail, or you can wrap a piece of yarn to make a tail. There are many video tutorials online for creating tails.
- Eye shading: I usually make eye indentations between rows 9 and 10 of the head, about 6-8 stitches apart. The nose can be placed between rows 15-17.
- Ears: Attach the ears between rows 6-7 of the head, but feel free to position them as you like.
- Legs and tail: You can use a different yarn color for the legs and change to the main color when you feel it’s necessary. The same applies to the tail. I don’t describe the dress in detail; each person can make it according to their own style and color preferences.
Notes
If you don’t want to add a frame, you can simply reduce the number of rows in the lower legs (around 5-6 rows to match the foot size) and stuff the legs and the whole mouse a bit less firmly.
Good luck with your crochet project! Feel free to send photos of your finished mice – we’d love to see them!
