With this pattern, you can crochet a plush tiger cub with a scarf. Suitable for beginners, this amigurumi project can be made using any plush yarn like Himalaya Dolphin Baby, YarnArt Dolce, or similar.

Finished Size: Approximately 16 cm (6.3 inches).


Materials and Tools

  • Plush yarn: Orange (less than half a skein), white, and black
  • Yarn for scarf: Any matching color
  • Crochet hook: 3.5 mm
  • Safety eyes: 8 mm
  • Stuffing: Fiberfill or similar
  • Tapestry needle: For sewing parts
  • Scissors

  • MR: Magic ring
  • ch: Chain
  • sc: Single crochet
  • dc: Double crochet
  • inc: Increase (2 sc in one stitch)
  • dec: Decrease (invisible preferred)
  • (…) x n: Repeat instructions inside parentheses n times

Pattern Instructions

Upper Legs (Make 2)

  1. 7 sc in MR
    2-8. 7 sc (7 rounds)

Fasten off. Close with 3 sc through both sides of the opening. These legs will be crocheted into the body.


Tail

  1. 5 sc in MR
    2-11. 5 sc (10 rounds)

Fasten off. Close with 2 sc through both sides of the opening. The tail will be crocheted into the body.


Ears (Make 2)

  1. 5 sc in MR, pull tight, do not join.
  2. Turn, 5 sc across.

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.


Muzzle

  1. 6 sc in MR
  2. 6 inc (12)
  3. (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
  4. 18 sc
  5. (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)
