Amigurumi Snowman Free Pattern

This tutorial will guide you through creating a snowman holding a small bucket with a scarf using a crochet hook. You can use any semi-cotton yarn for amigurumi, such as YarnArt Jeans, Alize Cotton Gold, or Gazal Baby Cotton. The finished toy will be approximately 19 cm in size.

Materials and Tools

  • 90 – Red
  • 40 – Brown
  • 46 – Gray
  • 85 – Orange
  • 82 – Olive
  • Crochet Hook: 2.5 mm
  • Safety Eyes: 8 mm
  • Toy Filling
  • Needle for Sewing Parts

  • sl st – Slip stitch
  • sc – Single crochet

Crochet Snowman Amigurumi

Legs (Make 2)

Start by using red yarn:

  1. 6 sc in KA (6)
  2. 6 inc (12)
  3. (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
  4. (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
    5-8. 24 sc (24)
  5. 6 dec, 10 sc, dec (17)
  6. 4 dec, 3 sc, dec, 4 sc (12)

Keep the red yarn attached. Attach the brown yarn at the back side of the heel at the 10th row, then crochet:

  1. 12 sc in the back loops (12), stuff the boot
  2. 6 dec (6)
    13-20. 6 sc (6), cut the yarn and hide the end.

Switch back to red yarn:

  1. One round of 12 sc in the front loops of the 10th row.
  2. One round of 12 dc, close the round.

Arms (Make 2)

Start with red yarn:

  1. 6 sc in KA (6)
  2. 6 inc (12)
  3. (inc, 5 sc) x 2 (14)
  4. 14 sc (14)
  5. (inc, 6 sc) x 2 (16)
  6. (dec, 6 sc) x 2 (14)
  7. (dec, 5 sc) x 2 (12)
  8. Make a puff stitch of 3 dc2tog, 11 sc (12)
  9. 12 sc (12)

Keep the red yarn attached. Attach brown yarn at the back loops of the 9th row:

  1. 12 sc in the back loops (12), stuff only the palm
  2. 6 dec (6)
    12-19. 6 sc (6), cut yarn and hide the end.

Switch back to red yarn:

  1. One round of 12 sc in the front loops of the 9th row.
  2. Cut yarn and hide the end.
