- 1 dec, 7 sc, 1 dec, turn [9 sts]
- 1 dec, 5 sc, 1 dec [7 sts]
- At the end of row 24, the veil will look as indicated in the pattern. Change to gold yarn and sc around the entire veil.
Halo
(Using golden enchantment wire)
- To make the halo, use a jewelry spring about 5 cm in diameter (or thin wire shaped as desired). If using a jewelry spring, cut a loop with some excess, which you can secure with tape.
- Make sc around the entire wire, hiding the wire as you go. After the last sc, cut the yarn, leaving enough for sewing the halo onto the head.
Assembly
- Place the 0.5 mm gold lurex cord on the thick sewing needle and pass it through the blue pom-pom. Then, pass the needle through the crucifix and again through the pom-pom.
- If the eye of the needle is thick enough, thread the crucifix onto the cord, then insert both ends into the hook and pass through the pom-pom.
- Pass the same thread through the heart, inserting the needle in the middle of the inverted magic ring and exiting between the two upper parts. Then, pass the needle through the head, going through the center of the inverted magic ring and the magic ring at the top of the head, and tie a knot.
- Sew the hair to the head and then attach the veil over the top of the hair.
- Place the halo in the desired position with the excess thread left behind. Pin and sew only a small part of the halo to the back of the head.
Heart
(Using amigurumi yarn in metallic Carmine and Maxxi Retros - work with both yarns together)
- Top of the heart (make it twice):
- 6 sc in magic ring [6 sts]
- 6 inc [12 sts]
- (1 sc, 1 inc) x 6 [18 sts]
- 18 sc [18 sts]
- For the first part, cut the yarn, fasten off, and secure. Do not cut the yarn when finishing the second part. Instead, continue crocheting.
- Join the two top parts with a sc and crochet 17 more sc around the first part and 18 sc around the second part [36 sts].
- 36 sc [36 sts]
- (7 sc, 1 dec) x 4 [32 sts]
- (6 sc, 1 dec) x 4 [28 sts]
- (5 sc, 1 dec) x 4 [24 sts]
- (2 sc, 1 dec) x 4 [12 sts]
- (1 sc, 1 dec) x 4 [8 sts]
- Add more filling until the heart is firm.
- 4 dec [4 sts]
- Cut the yarn and close with an inverted magic ring. Leave a thread.
Final Assembly
Cut about 40 cm of gold lurex elastic cord and thread only one end into a tapestry needle.
- Pass through a central point in the second row of the veil, bringing the strand underneath the hair. Insert the other end into the tapestry needle and pass through a point on the side.
- Tie a knot and finish at the bottom of the hair, hiding the leftover strand.
