Red flowers free pattern


 

Materials:

  1. 100% cotton yarn, 50g/335m (red and green colors);
  2. Thin copper wire 0.3mm;
  3. Copper wire 3mm (with insulation);
  4. Electrical tape;
  5. Yellow beads;
  6. Crochet hook No.1;
  7. Needle;
  8. Scissors;
  9. Wire cutters;
  10. Flower pot 8.5 cm tall.

Abbreviations:

  • MR – magic ring
  • ch – chain
  • sl st – slip stitch
  • sc – single crochet
  • hdc – half double crochet
  • dc – double crochet
  • tr – treble crochet
  • dtr – double treble crochet
  • inc – increase
  • dec – decrease
  • ( ) * 5 – repeat 5 times
  • (10) – number of stitches in the round

Small Petals:

  • 5 sc in MR (5)
  • 5 inc (10), sl st (this forms a ring)

Round 1:

  • 20 ch (see photo 1), starting from the 2nd chain from the hook, 19 sc, 1 sc into the 2nd stitch of the ring, 1 sc into the 3rd stitch of the ring (see photo 2);
  • 20 ch, starting from the 2nd chain, 19 sc, 1 sc into the 4th stitch of the ring, 1 sc into the 5th stitch of the ring;
  • 20 ch, starting from the 2nd chain, 19 sc, 1 sc into the 6th stitch of the ring, 1 sc into the 7th stitch of the ring;
  • 20 ch, starting from the 2nd chain, 19 sc, 1 sc into the 8th stitch of the ring, 1 sc into the 9th stitch of the ring;
  • 20 ch, starting from the 2nd chain, 19 sc, 1 sc into the 10th stitch of the ring (see photo 3).

Round 2:

  • 2 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 6 dtr, 3 tr, 2 dc, 1 hdc, 2 sc, 3 ch (see photo 4) (now move to the other side of the petal);
  • 2 sc, 1 hdc, 2 dc, 3 tr, 6 dtr, 1 tr, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 2 sc, skip one stitch on the ring, 1 sc in the next stitch (see photo 5).

Repeat 4 times (see photo 6).

Round 3:

Work with thin wire (leave a small end of wire free)

  • 18 sc, 3 sc into the 3-ch space (see photo 7) (distribute the wire along the petal as you crochet), 18 sc along the other side of the petal, dec (sc the last stitch of the current petal and the first stitch of the next petal together) (see photo 8).

Repeat 4 times.

At the end of the fifth petal, crochet a slip stitch instead of a decrease (see photo 9).

Cut the wire, leaving a small end free. Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.

Large Petals (see video in the next post):

  • 10 sc in MR, sl st (10) (this forms a ring);
  • Don’t tighten the ring completely.

Round 1:

  • 26 ch (see photo 1), starting from the 2nd chain from the hook, 25 hdc, 1 sc into the 2nd stitch of the ring, 1 sc into the 3rd stitch of the ring (see photo 2);
  • 26 ch, starting from the 2nd chain, 25 hdc, 1 sc into the 4th stitch of the ring, 1 sc into the 5th stitch of the ring;
  • 26 ch, starting from the 2nd chain, 25 hdc, 1 sc into the 6th stitch of the ring, 1 sc into the 7th stitch of the ring;
  • 26 ch, starting from the 2nd chain, 25 hdc, 1 sc into the 8th stitch of the ring, 1 sc into the 9th stitch of the ring;
  • 26 ch, starting from the 2nd chain, 25 hdc, 1 sc into the 10th stitch of the ring (see photo 3).

Round 2:

  • 2 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 2 dtr, 9 tr, 3 tr, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc, 4 ch (see photo 4) (move to the other side of the petal);
  • 1 sc, 1 hdc, 2 dc, 3 tr, 9 tr, 2 tr, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 2 sc, skip one stitch on the ring, 1 sc in the next stitch of the ring (see photo 5).

Repeat 4 times (see photo 6).

Round 3:

  • 2 sc, 22 hdc, 4 hdc into the 4-ch space (see photo 7) (distribute the wire along the petal as you crochet), 22 hdc, 2 sc along the other side of the petal, dec (sc the last stitch of the current petal and the first stitch of the next petal together) (see photo 8).

Repeat 4 times.

Repeat 4 times (see photo 6).

Round 3:

Work with thin wire (leave a small end of wire free)

  • 2 sc, 25 hdc, 4 hdc into the 4-ch space (see photo 7) (distribute the wire along the leaf as you crochet), 25 hdc, 2 sc along the other side of the leaf, dec (sc the last stitch of the current leaf and the first stitch of the next leaf together) (see photo 8).

Repeat 4 times.

At the end of the fifth leaf, crochet a slip stitch instead of a decrease (see photo 9).

Cut the wire, leaving a small end free. Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.

Stem:

  • 5 sc in MR (5)
  • 5 inc (10)
  • 10 sc (continue crocheting until you reach the desired length)
  • (1 sc, inc) * 5 (15)
  • (2 sc, inc) * 5 (20)
  • (3 sc, inc) * 5 (25)

Leave a long tail for sewing.

I have a bouquet of 5 flowers: 4 stems of 11 cm length and 1 stem of 13 cm length.

Assembly 

  1. Sew the beads in the center of the small petals;
  2. Arrange the small petals, large petals, and leaves;
  3. Join the thin wire from the petals and leaves with the wire for the stem;
  4. Wrap them with electrical tape;
  5. Insert the wire into the stem, sew the stem to the leaves;
  6. Shape the petals and leaves to make them pointed.
