Pochacco Wind Chime Free Pattern


 

Materials Needed

  • Yarn: White, black, and blue cotton yarn (preferably 8/6 or similar thickness).
  • Crochet Hook: Appropriate size for the yarn (typically 2.5 mm or 3 mm).
  • Stuffing: Polyester fiberfill.
  • Stitch Marker.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn Needle.

  5. R5: (3 SC, 1 INC) x 6 (30).

Continue increasing rounds until you reach the desired size for Pochacco’s head. Stuff the head firmly as you go.

Ears (Make 2)

  1. R1: 4 SC in Magic Ring (4).
  2. R2: (1 SC, 1 INC) x 2 (6).
  3. R3: (2 SC, 1 INC) x 2 (8).
  4. R4-R5: 1 SC in each stitch around (8).
  5. R6: (2 SC, 1 DEC) x 2 (6).
  6. R7: (1 SC, 1 DEC) x 2 (4).

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Attach the ears to the head.

Body

  1. R1: 6 SC in Magic Ring (6).
  2. R2: 6 INC (12).
  3. R3: (1 SC, 1 INC) x 6 (18).
  4. R4: (2 SC, 1 INC) x 6 (24).
  5. R5-R9: 1 SC in each stitch around (24).

Continue to desired length, then begin decreasing rounds:

  1. R10: (2 SC, 1 DEC) x 6 (18).
  2. R11: (1 SC, 1 DEC) x 6 (12).
  3. R12: 6 DEC (6).

Fasten off, close the remaining stitches, and weave in the end.

Ice Cream Cone

  1. R1: Chain 2, turn, and SC in the second chain from the hook (1 SC).
  2. R2: INC (2 SC).
  3. R3-R5: 1 SC in each stitch around.

Continue in this pattern to form a cone shape, then stuff lightly and attach to Pochacco.

Note: You can add details like sprinkles or a cherry on top using embroidery or yarn in different colors.

Ice Cream Ball

  1. Chain 4, then create 5 incomplete double crochet stitches (cluster stitch) to form a ball-like structure.
  2. Chain 4 and slip stitch to the starting point to complete the ball.

Attach this to the cone or top of the wind chime, depending on the design.

Hair Detail

  1. Using black yarn, crochet a few small strands and attach them to the top of Pochacco’s head.
  2. Optional: Add a few strands of yarn and tie them off to create a fluffy appearance.

Assembly

  1. Attach the head to the body using a yarn needle and secure tightly.
  2. Sew on the ears to either side of the head.
  3. Attach the ice cream cone or other decorative items using your preferred method.
