Pink Duke Free Pattern


 

Materials Needed

  • Yarn:
    • 1 ball of cream color
    • 1 ball of yellow color
    • 2 balls of pink color
    • 1 ball of green or blue color
  • Crochet hook: 9mm
  • Stuffing material: 200g
  • Safety eyes: 20mm
  • Yarn needle, scissors, and stitch markers

Duck Body (Cream color)

  1. R1: MR, 6X (6 stitches).
  2. R2: 6V (12 stitches).
  3. R3: (1X, 1V) repeat 6 times (18 stitches).
  4. R4: (1X, 1V, 1X) repeat 6 times (24 stitches).
  5. R5: (3X, 1V) repeat 6 times (30 stitches).
  6. R6 - R7: 1X in each stitch of the previous row (30 stitches).
  7. R8 - R10: 1X in each stitch of the previous row (36 stitches).
  8. R11: (2X, 1V, 2X) repeat 6 times (42 stitches).
  9. R12: (3X, 1V) repeat 6 times (48 stitches).
  10. R13 - R22: 1X in each stitch of the previous row (48 stitches).
  11. R23: (3X, 1A, 3X) repeat 6 times (42 stitches).
  12. R24: (2X, 1A, 2X) repeat 6 times (36 stitches).
  13. R25: (1X, 1A, 1X) repeat 6 times (30 stitches).
  14. R26: 1A in each stitch of the previous row until you close the circle (6 stitches).

Note: Start stuffing the body as you progress, ensuring it is firm and evenly stuffed before closing.

Duck Beak (Yellow color)

  1. R1: Chain 4, starting from the 2nd chain from the hook, crochet 2X, 1V, 1X, 1V (6 stitches).
  2. R2 - R3: 1X in each stitch of the previous row (6 stitches).
  3. Fold the piece in half and SL ST through both edges to create a thicker beak.
  4. Sew the beak to the front of the duck’s head, approximately at row 10, ensuring it’s centered.

Duck Feet (Make 2) - Cream color

  1. R1: MR, 5X (5 stitches).
  2. R2: 5V (10 stitches).
  3. R3: (1X, 1V) repeat 5 times (15 stitches).
  4. R4 - R7: 1X in each stitch of the previous row (15 stitches).
  5. Fold the piece in half and SL ST through both edges to create a thicker foot.

Note: To attach the feet, insert a little bit of stuffing inside, then sew them to the bottom of the body.

Backpack (Pink color)

  1. R1: MR, 6X (6 stitches).
  2. R2: 6V (12 stitches).
  3. R3: (1X, 1V) repeat 6 times (18 stitches).
  4. R4: (1X, 1V, 1X) repeat 6 times (24 stitches).
  5. R5 - R7: 1X in each stitch of the previous row (24 stitches).
  6. R8: Work in scallop stitches: Crochet 3 double crochets in each stitch.
  7. Straps: Chain a long enough length to make backpack straps, and SL ST to the opposite side of the backpack.

Sew the backpack onto the duck’s back, ensuring the straps are well-positioned.

Duck Wings (Make 2) - Cream color

  1. R1: MR, 6X (6 stitches).
  2. R2: 6V (12 stitches).
  3. R3 - R5: 1X in each stitch of the previous row (12 stitches).
  4. R6: (1X, 1A) repeat 4 times (8 stitches). Stuff lightly.
  5. R7: (1X, 1A) repeat twice, 2X (6 stitches).
  6. Fold the piece in half and SL ST through both edges to close.

Sew the wings onto each side of the duck’s body, ensuring symmetry.

Optional: You can use different colored yarn for the wings and other parts for added variation and style.
