Octopus Tentacle Crochet Instructions
After completing the body, you will need to crochet the tentacles. Follow these steps:
- Work into the front loops of the 10th row.
- Chain 4, then single crochet in the second chain from the hook. Make 3 more single crochets along the chain.
- Slip stitch into the next front loop on the body.
- Repeat this process to create tentacles all the way around the octopus's body.
Final Steps for the Body
- After completing the tentacles, use the back loops of the 10th row and crochet (1 sc, 1 decrease) 6 times around. (12)
- For the last round, decrease around. (6)
Pull the hole closed and weave in the ends neatly.
Finishing Touches
- Use black thread to embroider small eyelashes and a smile onto the face.
- Attach the decorative bow with glue, or sew it onto the head.
- If you want to turn this into a keychain, attach the keychain loop to the top of the head. If you don’t have a keychain, you can crochet a chain of the desired length and sew it onto the top.
And that’s it! Your cute little crocheted octopus is ready to go!
