Little sheep free crochet pattern


 

Abbreviations:

  • MR - magic ring
  • CH - chain stitch
  • SC - single crochet
  • SC(CH) - single crochet (extended stitch)
  • INC - increase
  • DEC - decrease
  • SL - slip stitch

Muzzle

Use cotton or cotton blend yarn (I used Yarnart Jeans and a 2 mm Clover hook)

  1. Row 1: Chain 9, in the 2nd chain from the hook, INC, 6 SC, INC, 6 SC (18)
  2. Row 2: 3 INC, 6 SC, 3 INC, 6 SC (24)
  3. Row 3: (1 SC + INC) * 3, 6 SC, (1 SC + INC) * 3, 6 SC (30)
  4. Row 4: (2 SC + INC) * 3, 6 SC, (1 SC + INC) * 3, 6 SC (36)
  5. Rows 5-11: 36 SC

Leave a 70 cm tail for attaching the muzzle, head, and ears.

Legs (4 pieces)

  1. Row 1: 6 SC in MR (6)
  2. Row 2: 6 INC (12)
  3. Rows 3-9: 12 SC

Leave a 70 cm tail on one of the legs for attaching to the body.

Ears (2 pieces)

  1. Row 1: 6 SC in MR (6)
  2. Row 2: 6 INC (12)
  3. Rows 3-5: 12 SC
  4. Row 6: 6 DEC (6)

Head

Switch to plush yarn (I used Himalaya Dolphin Baby and a 4.5 mm Clover hook)

  1. Row 1: Chain 1, 6 SC (CH) (6)
  2. Row 2: 6 INC (12)
  3. Row 3: (1 SC(CH), INC) * 6 (18)
  4. Row 4: (2 SC(CH), INC) * 6 (24)
  5. Rows 5-8: 24 SC (CH)

Leave a 15 cm tail and sew the head closed.

Body

Work with plush yarn.

  1. Row 1: Chain 1, 6 SC (CH) (6)
  2. Row 2: 6 INC (12)
  3. Row 3: (1 SC(CH), INC) * 6 (18)
  4. Row 4: (2 SC(CH), INC) * 6 (24)
