Head Wool (Top of the Head)

  • Work in back loops only:
    • 1 SC, 4 CH, repeat across all stitches in the round.

Head

  • R3: 8 (1 SC, 1 INC) (24 stitches)
  • R4: 8 (2 SC, 1 INC) (32 stitches)
  • R5: 8 (3 SC, 1 INC) (40 stitches)
  • R6-R10: 1 SC in each stitch around (40 stitches per round)
  • R11: 1 SC in each stitch around (40 stitches)

Cherry

  • R1: 6 SC in a magic ring
  • R2: 6 INC (12 stitches)
  • R3: 4 (2 SC, 1 INC) (16 stitches)
  • R4-R5: 1 SC in each stitch around (16 stitches per round)
  • R6: (2 SC, 1 DEC) x 4 (12 stitches)
  • R7: 6 DEC (6 stitches)
  • Fasten off and weave in the ends.

Leaf

  • Create a foundation chain of 6 CH.
  • Starting from the second CH from the hook, work the following stitches:
    • SL ST, 1 SC, 1 HDC, 3 DC, 1 HDC, 1 SC, SL ST to finish the leaf.

Body

  • R1: 8 SC in a magic ring
  • R2: 8 INC (16 stitches)
  • R3: 8 (1 SC, 1 INC) (24 stitches)
  • R4: 8 (2 SC, 1 INC) (32 stitches)
  • R5: 8 (3 SC, 1 INC) (40 stitches)
  • R6-R11: 1 SC in each stitch around (40 stitches per round)
  • R12: Change color and continue in the back loop only, 40 SC.

Ears (Make 2)

  • R1: 6 SC in a magic ring
  • R2: 6 INC (12 stitches)
  • R3: 12 SC
  • Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Legs (Make 2)

  • R1: 6 SC in a magic ring
  • R2: 6 INC (12 stitches)
  • R3: 12 SC
  • R4-R8: 1 SC in each stitch around (12 stitches per round)
  • R9-R12: 15 SC, 10 SC, 15 SC (40 stitches in total)
  • R13: Change color and continue with 40 SC.

Overalls

  • At R12 of the body, work in back loops only for 10 stitches.
  • Create a foundation chain of 16 CH.
  • Continue with SC along the chain and then work 10 DC into the back loops of the body, followed by another chain of 16 CH.

Arms (Make 2)

  • R1: 6 SC in a magic ring
  • R2: 6 INC (12 stitches)
  • R3-R4: 12 SC
  • R5: Change color, 12 SC
  • R6-R7: 12 SC
  • R8: (2 SC, 1 DEC) x 3 (9 stitches)

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Sew the head wool onto the top of the head.
  2. Attach the head to the body.
  3. Sew the ears onto the sides of the head.
  4. Attach the arms and legs to the body.
  5. Position the cherry and leaves on top of the head for decoration.
  6. Place the overalls onto the body and adjust them for a snug fit.

Notes:

  • Pay attention to the instructions regarding working in the back loops only and the color changes.
  • Use a stitch marker to keep track of the rounds.
  • Make sure to stuff the pieces before sewing them together to maintain the shape.
