Head and Body

  • R1: 6 SC in a magic ring
  • R2: 6 INC (12 stitches)
  • R3: 6 (1 SC, 1 INC) (18 stitches)

  • R5: 6 (3 SC, 1 INC) (30 stitches)
  • R6: 6 (2 SC, 1 INC, 2 SC) (36 stitches)
  • R7: 6 (5 SC, 1 INC) (42 stitches)
  • R8-R14: 1 SC in each stitch around (42 stitches per round)
  • R15: 6 (5 SC, 1 DEC) (36 stitches)
  • R16: 6 (2 SC, 1 DEC, 2 SC) (30 stitches)
  • R17: 6 (3 SC, 1 DEC) (24 stitches)
  • R18: In back loops only, 4 SC around, repeat across (20 stitches)
  • R19-R22: 1 SC in each stitch around (28 stitches per round)
  • R23: 4 (5 SC, 1 DEC) (24 stitches)
  • R24: 6 (1 SC, 1 DEC, 1 SC) (18 stitches)

Fasten off and weave in the ends.

Arms (Make 2)

  • R1-R5: 1 SC in each stitch around (8 stitches per round)
  • Fold in half and sew shut.

Legs (Make 2)

  • R1-R3: 1 SC in each stitch around (8 stitches per round)
  • Fasten off and weave in the ends.

Ears (Make 2)

  • Start with a magic ring.
  • Chain 6, then work the following stitches:
    • 1 SL ST, 1 SC, 1 HDC, 3 DC, 1 HDC, 1 SC, 1 SL ST to finish the ear.
  • Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Kirby Hat

  • R1: 6 SC in a magic ring
  • R2: 6 INC (12 stitches)
  • R3: 6 (1 SC, 1 INC) (18 stitches)
  • R4-R5: 1 SC in each stitch around (18 stitches per round)
  • R6: Change to a deeper pink color and work 4 rows in SC (18 stitches per round).

Fasten off and weave in the ends.

Tail

  • Create a pom-pom using a 1 cm diameter piece of yarn.
  • Attach the pom-pom to the back of the body.

Small Bag (Optional)

  • R1: Chain 6, then work around in rows: 5 SC, CH 1, turn.
  • R2-R4: 1 SC in each stitch around (12 stitches per row).
  • Fold the piece and sew along the edges to create a small bag. Use matching yarn to attach a small strap or chain as the handle.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Head and Body: Sew the head and body pieces together securely.
  2. Arms and Legs: Attach the arms and legs to the appropriate positions on the body.
  3. Ears: Sew the ears onto the head.
  4. Kirby Hat: Position the hat onto the head, adjusting for a snug fit.
  5. Tail: Attach the pom-pom tail to the back of the body.
  6. Small Bag: If you made the small bag, position it on one side of the body or as desired.

Notes:

  • Use a stitch marker to keep track of rounds as needed.
  • Adjust the yarn thickness and hook size according to your preference to achieve different sizes for the project.
  • Be sure to stuff the body, arms, and legs before sewing for better shaping.
