Halloween Bat Cat Free Pattern


 

Materials:

  • 12 mm safety eyes
  • Scissors
  • Toy stuffing
  • Needle
  • Crochet hook 4mm
  • Yarn in grey and black colors (YarnArt, Himalaya)
  • Cotton pink and black yarn

Abbreviations

  • MR - Magic ring
  • SC - Single crochet
  • Inc - Increase
  • Dec - Decrease
  • Ch - Chain
  • Sl st - Slip stitch
  • Bb st - Bobble stitch (5 stitches on the hook)

Cat Body:

  1. Rnd 1: (GREY YARN) 6 SC in the MR (6)
  2. Rnd 2: Inc in each stitch around (12)
  3. Rnd 3: (1 SC, 1 Inc) around (18)
  4. Rnd 4: (2 SC, 1 Inc) around (24)
  5. Rnd 5-6: SC in each stitch around (24)
  6. Rnd 7: 9 SC, 1 Bb st, 4 SC, 1 Bb st, 9 SC (24)
  7. Rnd 8: (2 SC, 1 Dec) around (18)

Place eyes between round 5-6 about 3 stitches apart right above the paws.

  1. Rnd 9: 1 SC, (TAIL: chain 5, SC 4 from the second stitch from the hook), continue 1 Dec | 1 SC, 1 Dec) around (12)
  2. Stuff the body with fiberfill.
  3. Rnd 10: Dec around (6)
  4. Fasten off and close the opening.

Ears (make two):

Insert your hook into the second row from the center and grab your yarn. Make 3 SC down, chain 1, turn, and crochet 3 SC from the second stitch from the hook. Slip stitch in the same stitch as the final SC. The ears should be 2 stitches apart.

Bat Wings (make two):

With black: ch 6

  1. Row 1: Starting in the second chain from the hook (5 SC) (5)
  2. Row 2: Ch 1, turn. (5 SC) (5)
  3. Row 3: Ch 1, turn. (3 SC, 1 Dec) (4)
  4. Row 4: Ch 1, turn. (2 Dec) (2)
  5. Row 5: Ch 1, turn. (1 Dec) (1)

Let's make waves. Don't turn, chain 3 from the same stitch you finished row 5 and slip stitch in the side row, don't turn and continue (ch 3, 1 sl st) × 3. Should be 4 waves in total.

Assembly:

Fasten off wings and leave a long tail for sewing. Sew the wings securely 4 stitches apart using the long tail on the 4-6 rows. Add a nose with thin pink yarn in the middle between the eyes one row lower. Add cat whiskers with thin black yarn.
