Ears (2 pieces):

  1. 6 sc in magic ring, turn
  2. Ch 1, 6 inc (12)

- Sew the ears onto the head between rounds 39 and 43.

Spikes (try on as you go):

- Using fur yarn, chain 2 and join in a ring with a slip stitch. (Since the yarn is textured, use a marker while crocheting)

  1. 6 sc in the ring
  2. 6 inc (12)
  3. (1 sc, inc) x6 (18)
  4. (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
  5. (3 sc, inc) x6 (30)
  6. (4 sc, inc) x6 (36)
  7. (5 sc, inc) x6 (42)
  8. (6 sc, inc) x6 (48)
  9. (7 sc, inc) x6 (54)

- At this stage, try the fuzzy wig on the head. If necessary, add an extra round of increases or unravel a round. It should fit snugly but not too tight.
- Continue without increases:

  1. 54 sc (5 rounds)

- Adjust the number of rounds as needed; the wig should fit snugly against the ears.
- Mark the snout with pins. Using the markers as a guide, crochet in short rows, skipping the first stitches:

  1. Turn, skip the first stitch, 11 sc.
  2. Turn, skip 1 st, 9 sc.
  3. Turn, skip 1 st, 7 sc.
  4. Turn, skip 1 st, 5 sc.
  5. Turn, skip 1 st, 3 sc.
  6. Turn, skip 1 st, 1 sc.

- If necessary, crochet a few more sc back and forth. Finish crocheting, leaving a long tail (about 40 cm). This tail is needed to make the spikes in front of the ears.
- Brush the wig with a comb.
- Pin it to the head and sew it on.
- Thread the long end of the fur into a needle, insert it into the head, and bring it out under the ear, laying the thread in front of the ear and inserting it above. Bring it out under the other ear,

laying the thread in front of it and inserting it above. Secure and hide the end inside. Arrange the spikes.
- Trim the fur on the snout slightly to shape it.
- Detail the snout according to the photo, and add blush to the cheeks.

Pants (try on as you go):

- Chain 37 and join in a ring with a slip stitch. Crochet rows with a turning chain (the turning chain counts as the first sc).

  1. Ch 1, 37 sc, sl st (6 rows)

- Fasten off and cut the yarn. Crochet the second leg similarly, fastening off and cutting the yarn as well. Hide any loose ends.
- Fold both pieces together, aligning the seams, and crochet 6 sc through both legs. There should be 31 sc on each leg. Continue crocheting:

  1. Ch 1, 31 sc on one leg + 31 sc on the other leg, sl st (62)
  2. Ch 1, 62 sc, sl st (2 rows)
  3. Ch 1, 14 sc, dec, 30 sc, dec, 14 sc, sl st (60)
  4. Ch 1, (8 sc, dec) x6, sl st (54)
  5. Ch 1, 54 sc, sl st
  6. Ch 1, (7 sc, dec) x6, sl st (48)

- Finish crocheting, secure the yarn, and cut.
- From the back, measure 18 sc from the seam on each side and mark the middle with markers (12 sc between markers).
- Attach the yarn at the 19th sc and continue crocheting in short rows without the turning chain:

  1. Ch 1, 12 sc, turn
  2. 11 sc, turn
  3. 10 sc, turn
  4. 9 sc, turn
  5. 8 sc

- Crochet along the side with 4 sc, remove the marker, and crochet 12 sc.
- Make the strap: Chain 21, starting from the 2nd chain from the hook, crochet 20 sc, sl st in the chain where you started the strap. Crochet 12 sc, make the second strap similarly, 12 sc, 4 sc along the side, sl st.
- Sew the straps at the front, and also sew on the buttons.
- Dress the hedgehog. Your toy is ready!
