Butterfly Doll Free Pattern


 

Materials:

  • Yarn: Various colors for the body, wings, and details (e.g., white, pink, yellow, black)
  • Crochet hook: Size suitable for your yarn weight
  • Safety eyes
  • Embroidery floss: Black for the mouth and eyebrows (optional)
  • Fiberfill
  • Sewing needle and thread

Body:

  1. Start with a magic ring in your chosen main body color (e.g., white).
  2. Crochet 6 single crochets (sc) into the ring. Pull tight to close the ring.
  3. Increase by crocheting 2 sc in each stitch around (12 sc).
  4. Continue crocheting in rounds of sc, increasing every other round until you reach the desired size for the doll's body.
  5. Stuff the body firmly with fiberfill as you crochet.
  6. When you reach the desired size, crochet one final round without increasing.

Head:

  1. Repeat steps 1-4 from the body section, but use a smaller hook and start with fewer stitches (e.g., 4 sc).
  2. Stuff the head firmly as you crochet.
  3. When you reach the desired size, crochet one final round without increasing.

Arms (optional):

  1. Make two chains of the desired length with your chosen arm color.
  2. Fold each chain in half and sew the sides together to create two tubes.
  3. Stuff the arms lightly with fiberfill.
  4. Sew the arms to the sides of the body.

Legs:

  1. Make two chains of the desired length with your chosen leg color.
  2. Crochet in rows of sc back and forth until the legs reach the desired thickness.
  3. Stuff the legs lightly with fiberfill.
  4. Sew the legs to the bottom of the body.

Wings:

  1. Make two chains of the desired length with your chosen wing color.
  2. Turn the chains and crochet in rows of sc back and forth, increasing each row to create triangular shapes for the wings.
  3. You can add details to the wings, such as spots or stripes, using embroidery floss.

Assembly:

  1. Sew the head to the body.
  2. Attach the safety eyes.
  3. Embroider the mouth and eyebrows with black floss (optional).
  4. Sew the wings to the back of the body.

Hair (optional):
