  • Baby Smile 025 - for legs.
  • YamAst Jeans No 05 - for muzzle.
  • YamAst Jeans No 51 - half a ball - for overalls.
  • White yarn - for white of the eyes, brown yarn - for nose and brows, black yarn - for eyelashes.
  • 20 mm decorative buttons (2).
  • 4.5 mm crochet hook - for toy.
  • 2 mm crochet hook - for muzzle and overalls.
  • 16 mm safety eyes (2).
  • Fiber filler.
  • Scissors.
  • Long needle.

Abbreviations

  • Ch = chain
  • Mr = Magic ring
  • Sc = single crochet
  • Sl st = slip stitch
  • Inc = 2 sc in the same st (increase)

Head

  1. 2 ch, 6 sc into 1st chain.
  2. 6 inc (12).
  3. (1 sc, 1 inc) × 6 (18).
  4. 1 sc, 1 inc, (2 sc, 1 inc) × 5, 1 sc (24).
  5. (3 sc, 1 inc) × 6 (30).
  6. 2 sc, 1 inc, (4 sc, 1 inc) × 5, 2 sc (36).
  7. (5 sc, 1 inc) × 6 (42).
  8. 8-15. 42 sc (8 rows).

Place 16 mm safety lock eyes 8 sc apart between 12th and 13th rounds.

  1. (5 sc, 1 dec) × 6 (36).
  2. 2 sc, 1 dec, (4 sc, 1 dec) × 5, 2 sc (30).

Start stuffing the head.

  1. (3 sc, 1 dec) × 6 (24).
  2. 1 sc, 1 dec, (2 sc, 1 dec) × 5, 1 sc (18).
  3. (1 dec, 4 sc) × 3 (15).

Stuff the head. Cut the yarn, fasten it, and hide it. We will sew the head with the yarn that will remain after crocheting the body.

Body

  1. 2 ch, 6 sc into 1st chain.
  2. 6 inc (12).
  3. (1 sc, 1 inc) × 6 (18).
  4. 1 sc, 1 inc, (2 sc, 1 inc) × 5, 1 sc (24).
  5. (3 sc, 1 inc) × 6 (30).
  6. 2 sc, 1 inc, (4 sc, 1 inc) × 5, 2 sc (36).
  7. 7-11. 36 sc (5 rows).
  8. 12. 2 sc, 1 dec, (4 sc, 1 dec) × 5, 2 sc (30).
  9. 13-14. 30 sc (2 rows).

Start stuffing the body.

  1. (3 sc, 1 dec) × 6 (24).
  2. 16-17. 24 sc (2 rows).
  3. 18. 1 sc, 1 dec, (2 sc, 1 dec) × 5, 1 sc (18).
  4. 19. 18 sc.
  5. 20. (1 dec, 4 sc) × 3 (15).

Make sl st, fill the body with fiberfill. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing the head.

Ears (make 2)

  1. 2 ch, 6 sc into 1st chain.
  2. 6 inc (12).
  3. 3-4. 12 sc (2 rows).

Fold the top of the ears flat and crochet 6 sc through both sides across. Do NOT stuff the ears. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Make the second ear in the same way.

Arms (make 2)

  1. 2 ch, 6 sc into 1st chain.
  2. 6 inc (12).
  3. 3-4. 12 sc (2 rows).
  4. 5. 3 sc, 3 dec, 3 sc (9).
  5. 6-11. 9 sc (6 rows).

Fold the top of the arms flat and crochet 4 sc through both sides across. Fill the bottom of the arms with fiberfill. Do NOT stuff the top of the arm. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Make the second arm in the same way.

Legs (make 2)

With beige yarn:

  1. 2 ch, 6 sc into 1st chain.
  2. 6 inc (12).
  3. (1 sc, 1 inc) × 6 (18).

Change yarn to brown:

  1. 4-6. 18 sc (3 rows).
  2. 7. 5 sc, 4 dec, 5 sc (14).
  3. 8. 5 sc, 2 dec, 5 sc (12).
  4. 9-15. 12 sc (7 rows).

Fold the top of the legs flat and crochet 6 sc through both sides across. Fill the bottom of the legs with fiberfill. Do NOT stuff the top of the leg. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Make the second leg in the same way.

Muzzle

YamArt Jeans No 05, 2 mm hook:

  1. 6 sc into Mr.
  2. 6 inc (12).
  3. (1 sc, 1 inc) × 6 (18).
  4. 1 sc, 1 inc, (2 sc, 1 inc) × 5, 1 sc (24).
  5. (3 sc, 1 inc) × 6 (30).
  6. 2 sc, 1 inc, (4 sc, 1 inc) × 5, 2 sc (36).
  7. 36 sc, sl st.

The muzzle is now round. Stretch it slightly to the sides to form an oval.

Tightening

  1. Cut a long body-colored yarn tail (some people use white or brown elastic yarn or even dental floss). Insert it into a long needle.
  2. Insert the needle at point 1, exit it through point 2.
  3. Insert the needle at point 3, exit it through point 4.
  4. A loop has formed, place it along the lower edge of the eye, and tighten it.
  5. Do the same with the second eye.
  6. Pull both edges of the yarn, making sure that both eyes are tightened equally, that is, they are at the same depth. Tie a knot, hide the tails of the yarn, and cut them off.

Assemble

  1. Sew the head onto the body. The opening at the bottom of the head should align with the opening at the top of the body. When sewing on the head, stuff the neck area tightly to prevent the head from flopping.
  2. Make tightening as was described above.
  3. Sew the muzzle onto the face between the 13th and 20th head rows.
  4. <
  5. Sew the ears onto the head between the 4th and 9th head rows.
  6. Make the nose, whites of the eyes, eyelashes, and eyebrows.
  7. Sew the arms onto the body between the 19th and 20th body rows.
  8. Sew the legs onto the body between the 9th and 10th body rows.
