Angel Amigurumi free pattern

Angel

CLARIFICATION: made with 6 strands of cotton yarn, size 2 hook (except when the pattern indicates a change) and 8mm safety eyes.

Now let's get started!

First, we make the ARMS and leave them ready for later assembly with the body.

In SALMON color:

  1. 6 sc in magic ring
  2. Rows 2 and 3: 6 sc

Change to WHITE color:

  1. Rows 2 to 15: 6 sc

The arms are unstuffed.

FEET

We start by making 5 chains in SALMON V color:

  1. Row 1: 1 sc, 2 sc, 3 sc in the same stitch, 3 sc
  2. Row 2: 2 inc, 2 sc, 3 inc, 2 sc, 1 inc
  3. Row 3: 16 sc
  4. Row 4: 6 sc, 3 dec, 4 sc (13)
  5. Row 5: 4 sc, 4 dec, 1 sc (9)
  6. Row 6: 4 sc, 2 dec, 1 sc (7)

IMPORTANT: In my case, I only stuff the feet a little at this point; the rest of the leg I don’t, as I crochet quite tightly and it isn’t necessary, but of course, this is up to personal preference.

  1. Rows 7 to 23: 7 sc

JOINING LEGS

IMPORTANT: Start at the center of the back of one of the legs, but always ensure that the feet are well aligned.

In WHITE color:

  1. Row 24: 3 sc, 2 chains, 7 sc (2nd leg), 2 sc (in the chains), 4 sc
  2. Row 25: 18 sc
  3. Row 26: 1 sc, 2 inc, 2 sc, 2 inc, 1 sc (22)
  4. Rows 27 to 29: 22 sc
  5. Row 30: 1 sc, 2 dec, 2 sc, 2 dec, 1 sc (18) in BLO (later we will use the front strand to make the skirt)
  6. Rows 31 and 32: 18 sc
  7. Row 33: 7 sc, 1 dec, repeat (16)

JOINING ARMS

We will crochet 1 sc in each stitch of round 33 plus the 6 sc of each arm (12 sc).

It is important to maintain the following proportion... It will depend on where they are positioned with the hook, but the important thing is that they are:

  1. Row 34: 8 sc on the back, 8 sc on the front, 6 sc on each arm (total of 28 sc)
  2. Row 35: make 4 dec at the height of the armpits (2 dec on each arm, one at the front and one at the back) we are left with 24 sc in total.
  3. Row 36: 2 sc, 1 dec, repeat (18)

Start stuffing the body.

  1. 1 sc, 1 dec, repeat (12)

Finish stuffing the body.

  1. 6 dec (6)

NECK

At this point, we have finished the torso, and we will make the neck...

  1. Rows 39 and 40: 6 sc (I recommend using size 1 hook for these 2 rows to give firmness without needing to insert a wire to hold the head).
  2. Row 41: 6 inc (12)
  3. Row 42: 12 inc (24)
  4. Row 43: 1 sc, 1 inc, repeat (36)
  5. Row 44: 5 sc, 1 inc, repeat (42)
  6. Rows 45 to 54: 42 sc

Place the EYES between rows 49 and 50 with 8 stitches of separation in the center.

OPTIONAL: also embroider the nose, mouth, and eyebrows. Personally, I like to make the full face, but many prefer just the eyes.

  1. 5 sc, 1 dec, repeat (36)
  2. 4 sc, 1 dec, repeat (30)
  3. 3 sc, 1 dec, repeat (24)

Start stuffing the body.

  1. 2 sc, 1 dec, repeat (18)
  2. 1 sc, 1 dec, repeat (12)

Finish stuffing the body.

  1. 6 dec (6)

SKIRT

Resuming row 30 that we crocheted in BLO at waist height, we will make the skirt in WHITE. REMEMBER that the first row is made in FLO using the strand we had left free.

  1. Row 1: 22 sc

Change to size 3 hook:

  1. Row 2: 22 sc
  2. Row 3: 1 dec, 20 sc (21)
  3. Rows 4 to 6: 21 sc
  4. Row 7: 5 sc, 1 inc, 10 sc, 1 inc, 4 sc (23)
  5. Rows 8 and 9: 23 sc
  6. Row 10: 1 inc, 22 sc (24)
  7. Row 11: 24 sc
  8. Row 12: 6 sc, 1 inc, 12 sc, 1 inc, 4 sc (26)
  9. Row 13: 26 sc
  10. Row 14: 6 sc, 1 inc, 14 sc, 1 inc, 4 sc (28)
  11. Row 15: 28 sc
  12. Row 16: 1 sc, 1 inc, 26 sc (29)
  13. Rows 17 and 18: 29 sc
  14. Row 19: 9 sc, 1 inc, 14 sc, 1 inc, 4 sc
  15. Rows 20 and 21: 3 sc

HAIR

We start by making the helmet...

With MUSTARD color:

  1. Row 1: 6 sc in magic ring
  2. Row 2: 6 inc (12) in BLO
  3. Row 3: 1 sc, 1 inc, repeat (18)
  4. Row 4: 2 sc, 1 inc, repeat (24) in BLO
  5. Row 5: 3 sc, 1 inc, repeat (30)
  6. Row 6: 4 sc, 1 inc, repeat (36) in BLO

Now we stop crocheting in rounds and do it in ROWS:

  1. Row 7: 1 dec, 10 sc, 1 dec, 10 sc, 1 dec (23)

IMPORTANT: In the next row, when flipping the work, it will be on the side that will later be the inside of the helmet, so we will crochet it in FLO so that, when working the hair strands, the visible side will have a free strand.

  1. Row 8: 4 sc, 1 dec, 1 sc, 1 dec, 4 sc (21) in FLO
  2. Row 9: 1 dec, 1 sc, 1 inc, 13 sc, 1 inc, 1 dec (21)
  3. Row 10: 1 dec, 17 sc, 1 dec (19) in FLO
  4. Row 11: 1 dec, 1 inc, 3 sc, 1 dec, 3 sc, 1 dec, 3 sc, 1 inc, 1 dec (17)
  5. Row 12: 1 dec, 1 inc, 2 sc, 1 dec, 3 sc, 1 dec, 2 sc, 1 dec, 1 inc (15) in FLO
  6. Row 13: 1 dec, 1 sc, 1 dec (13)

Once we have the basic helmet ready, we will make a round of sc around the entire edge, and then we start a second round where we will make the strands.

In this second round, we will make strands of 4 chains, and starting from the second chain, we will do 2 inc, 1 sc, and join to the next stitch, then do 2 more sc to move, and again a strand, and so on until we complete the entire contour.

Once finished, we go to the free strands of the helmet and we will go around each row doing the same as we did before on the contour of the helmet...

Once done, we attach it to the head and our Angel is ready!
