Amigurumi Velvet Bunny Crochet Pattern

 

Abbreviations

• Sc - Single crochet
• Dec - Decrease
• Inc - Increase
• MR - Magic ring
• FO - Fasten off

Materials Used

• 1 color of chenille yarn (or your preferred type of yarn, I used Sweet Snuggles)
• 5.5 mm crochet hook
• Darning needle
• Safety eyes size 16 mm
• Stuffing

Ears - Make 2

1. R1: 7 sc in a MR
2. R2: 7 inc (14)
3. R3: (1 sc, inc) x7 (21)
4. R4-R13: 21 sc (21) (10 rounds)
5. R14: (2 sc, dec) x5, 1 sc (16)
6. R15-R23: 16 sc (16) (9 rounds)

Do not stuff. Flatten and sc through both layers (8). FO.

Arms - Make 2

1. R1: 6 sc in a MR
2. R2: 6 inc (12)
3. R3-R9: 12 sc (12) (7 rounds)

Stuff the arm. Flatten and sc through both layers (6). FO.

Legs - Make 2

1. R1: 7 sc in a MR
2. R2: 7 inc (14)
3. R3-R8: 14 sc (14) (6 rounds)

Fasten off the first leg only, leave a longer tail to sew the gap between legs. Make the second leg but do not fasten off.

You will begin the body now.

1. R9: 14 sc in 1st leg then 14 sc in 2nd leg (28)
2. Stuff the legs.
3. R10: (3 sc, inc) x7 (35)
4. R11: 35 sc (35)
5. R12: (4 sc, inc) x7 (42)

Body

1. R13-R15: 42 sc (42) (3 rounds)
2. R16: (8 sc, dec) x4, 2 sc (38)
3. R17: (7 sc, dec) x4, 2 sc (34)
4. R18: 34 sc (34). Sew gap between legs and stuff the body.
5. R19: (6 sc, dec) x4, 2 sc (30)
6. R20: (5 sc, dec) x4, 2 sc (26)
7. R21: 26 sc (26)
8. R22: (4 sc, dec) x4, 2 sc (22)
9. R23: 22 sc (22)
10. R24: (9 sc, dec) x2 (20)

Stuff the body.

25. R25: 5 sc, 6 sc into an arm, 4 sc, 6 sc into an arm (21)

This will go one stitch into the next round. Place your stitch marker in the extra stitch; it is now the last stitch of the last round. May need to be adjusted depending on your tension. You want arms 4 sc apart.

You will begin the head now.

1. R26: (4 sc, inc) x4 (24)
2. R27: (3 sc, inc) x6 (30)
3. R28: (4 sc, inc) x6 (36)
4. R29: (5 sc, inc) x6 (42)
5. R30-R33: 42 sc (4 rounds)
6. Insert eyes between R32 and R33, 8 sc apart.
7. R34: 15 sc, 8 sc into ear, 7 sc, 8 sc into ear, 4 sc (42)

May need to be adjusted depending on your tension. You want the ears 7 sc apart.

35. R35: (5 sc, dec) x6 (36)
36. R36: (4 sc, dec) x6 (30)

Stuff the head.
