Materials Needed:

  • Yarn in gray, white, yellow, black, and pink (for the main body, belly, eyes, nose, and ears).
  • Crochet hook (appropriate size for your yarn, usually 2.5 mm - 4.0 mm for amigurumi).
  • Fiberfill stuffing.
  • Safety eyes (optional) or yarn to embroider the eyes.
  • Yarn needle.
  • Stitch markers.
  • Scissors.

Pattern Instructions:

Head and Body:

  1. Head (start from the top and work down):
    • Magic ring with 6 single crochets (sc) in gray yarn.
    • Increase each stitch in the next round (12 sc).
    • Continue increasing until you have a round with about 48 stitches.
    • Work even (no increases or decreases) for several rounds to form the height of the head.
    • Begin decreasing gradually until you get back down to around 12 stitches.
    • Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff the head.
  2. Body:
    • Start with a magic ring with 6 single crochets.
    • Increase to 48 stitches similarly to the head, but after the last increase row, continue working even for several rounds to create the body length.
    • Change to white yarn for the belly after a few rounds.
    • Continue working in the round and decrease gradually to form the base of the body.
    • Stuff the body firmly as you go.

Arms (Make 2):

  1. Start with a magic ring with 6 single crochets in gray yarn.
  2. Increase to 12 stitches and continue working in rounds for the desired arm length.
  3. Switch to white yarn for the paws.
  4. Stuff lightly and close off at the end, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Legs (Make 2):

  1. Similar to arms, start with a magic ring and work in gray yarn for the leg.
  2. Switch to white yarn for the feet.
  3. Stuff firmly and sew onto the body.

Ears (Make 2):

  1. Use gray yarn and start with a magic ring with 6 sc.
  2. Increase over the next few rounds to form a triangle shape.
  3. Use pink yarn for the inner part of the ear and sew them onto the top sides of the head.

Tail:

  1. Start with a magic ring and work in gray yarn.
  2. Work evenly for a long tail, tapering it slightly toward the end.
  3. Attach the tail to the back of the body.

Face Details:

  1. Eyes: Use yellow and white yarn to crochet or embroider the eyes. Optionally, use safety eyes.
  2. Nose: Embroider or crochet a small black nose at the center of the face.
  3. Mouth: Embroider the mouth using black yarn.

Final Assembly:

  1. Attach the head to the body securely using the long tail left over from the body or head.
  2. Sew on the arms, legs, ears, and tail in their respective places.
  3. Use any additional embellishments to complete the look, such as adding whiskers with black yarn.

Tips:

  • Be sure to stuff each part firmly but not too tight to avoid any lumps.
  • Use stitch markers to keep track of rounds.
  • Make sure your tension is even to ensure a uniform look.
