MINION AMIGURUMI - FREE PATTERN

 

Materials:

• Yellow, blue, black, grey, and white yarn (medium weight)
• Crochet hook (appropriate size for your yarn, typically around 3.5mm)
• Safety eyes or black buttons for goggles
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Yarn needle

4. Rnd 4: [Sc in next 2 sts, inc] * 6 (24 sts)

11. Begin stuffing the head.

13. Change to blue yarn.

15. Rnd 38-46: Sc in each st around (36 sts)
16. Stuff the body firmly, continue to stuff as you go.
17. Rnd 47: [Sc in next 4 sts, dec] * 6 (30 sts)
18. Rnd 48: [Sc in next 3 sts, dec] * 6 (24 sts)
19. Rnd 49: [Sc in next 2 sts, dec] * 6 (18 sts)
20. Rnd 50: Dec around (9 sts)
21. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for closing. Finish stuffing and close the opening.

Goggles (Grey Yarn):

1. Rnd 1: Ch 15, join with sl st to form a ring, careful not to twist the chain.
2. Rnd 2: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), hdc in each ch around, join with sl st to first hdc (15 hdc).
3. Rnd 3: Ch 2, hde in each st around, join with sl st (15 hde).
4. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Flatten to form the shape of the goggles.

Strap for Goggles (Black Yarn):

1. Ch a length that wraps around the head snugly.
2. Rnd 1: Starting in the second ch from the hook, sc in each ch across.

5. Flatten the feet and don't stuff them.
6. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing to the legs.

Overall Bib (Blue Yarn):

1. Ch 10, starting from the second ch from the hook, sc in each ch across (9 sts).
2. Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across (9 sts).
3. Repeat Rnd 2 for a total of 4 rows.
4. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Assembly:

• Sew the head and body together if they are not already one piece.
• Attach the overall bib to the front of the body just below the head.
• Sew the arms to the sides of the body at shoulder level.
• Attach the legs to the bottom of the body, then sew the feet to the legs.
• Sew the goggle strap around the head, then attach the goggle piece over the strap where the safety eyes or buttons are placed.
• Optionally, add a mouth and hair using black yarn.

Finishing Touches:

• Add more stuffing to any parts if necessary before closing.
• Weave in all loose ends.
