Amigurumi Spongebob Square Pants Crochet Free Pattern

 

Materials:

• Yarn Colors: Yellow (body), White (shirt), Brown (pants), Black (shoes), Red (tie), Blue (eyes), and a bit of Pink for cheeks
• Hook Size: 2.5mm or 3mm (depending on your yarn weight)
• Safety Eyes: 10mm-12mm
• Stuffing: Polyfill

Body (Yellow)

The body is a rectangular 3D shape made of two flat rectangles that are joined together.

1. Front and Back Panel:
   • With yellow yarn, ch 21.
   • Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across (20 sc). Turn.
   • Rows 2-26: Ch 1, sc in each st across (20 sc). Turn.
   • FO and weave in ends.
   • Repeat this to create the back panel.
2. Side Panels:
   • With yellow yarn, ch 13.

Legs (2x)

1. Shoes (Black):
   • With black yarn, MR, 6 sc into ring (6 sts).

   • Rnd 2: (sc in next st, inc) around (18 sts).
   • Rnds 3-4: sc in each st around (18 sts).
   • Rnd 5: (sc in next 2 sts, dec) around (12 sts).
   • Change to white yarn for socks.
   • Rnds 6-10: sc in each st around (12 sts).
   • FO, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff lightly.
2. Legs (White and Yellow):
   • Join white yarn at the top of the shoe.
   • Rnds 1-5: sc in each st around (12 sts).
   • Change to yellow yarn for the leg.

   • FO, leaving a long tail for sewing. Lightly stuff and sew the legs to the bottom of the body.

Arms (2x)

2. Blue Pupil:

3. Finishing the Eyes:

Pants (Brown)

5. Attach the tie to the middle of the shirt area.

Mouth and Cheeks

1. Mouth:
   • Use black embroidery thread or yarn to stitch a simple smile under the eyes.
2. Cheeks:
   • With pink yarn, add two small blush circles below the eyes using surface crochet or simple stitching.

Finishing Details

• Embroider small black lines for the eyelashes above the eyes.
