Beak (Orange yarn):
- 1st row: 4 sc in KA
- 2nd row: (sc, inc) x 2 (6)
- 3rd row: (2 sc, inc) x 2 (8)
Fasten off, cut the thread, and leave the end for sewing.
Wings (Make 2 parts):
- 1st row: 6 sc in KA
- 2nd row: (sc, pr) x 3 (9)
- 3rd row: (2 sc, pr) x 3 (12)
- 4th row: 12 sc
Fold the wing and crochet the opposite sides of the 6 sc together. Fasten off and leave the end for sewing.
Tail:
- 1st row: 6 sc in KA
- 2nd row: (sc, inc) x 3 (9)
- Rows 3-4: 9 sc each row
Fasten off and leave a long end for sewing.
Finishing:
- Assembling the Chick:
- Sew the beak to the front of the chick’s face.
- Attach the wings on either side of the body.
- Attach the tail at the back of the chick.
- Sew the eyes between the 7th and 8th rows of the body.
- Use the remaining yarn ends to hide and secure all parts.
Once everything is sewn together and the chick is properly stuffed, you can attach a keychain to the top of its head.
