Free Crochet Workshop: How to Make a Grinch Toy by Alena Zelendinova

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to crochet a cute Grinch figure in a New Year’s costume. You can use any medium-weight yarn for amigurumi and an appropriate hook. For the collar, cuffs, and hat trim, it’s suggested to use soft, fluffy yarn like Alize Softy. For the embroidery of the face, you can use the same yarn as the body but in a darker shade. The Grinch’s clothing is non-removable.

  • Alize Softy (White for finishing touches)
  • Crochet Hook: 2 mm
  • Safety Eyes: 12 mm (for the toy)
  • Stuffing (for the toy)
  • White Felt (for the nose and other details)
  • Small Pom-Pom
  • Needle (for sewing details)

Head

Insert the eyes into felt circles and place them in round 13 in the spaces created.

Stuff only the part of the hand that is the body color. Fold the piece in half and crochet through both sides with 4 sc. Finish the edge with white fluffy yarn in round 6, crocheting 1 sc in each stitch.
